C’est le corps qui la fait vivre, le moyen d’activer, de révéler, d’inventer des formes plastiques propres aux sculptures vivantes. Le fait que le corps, ses gestes et ses attitudes, modèle l’oeuvre, transforment cette dernière en un processus dans lequel le temps joue un rôle sur le caractère d’objet temporel. Ce n’est pas seulement notre perception visuelle qui a une valeur mais le corps qui a un sens et une signification.L’utilisation du tissu, matière malléable qui a certes une configuration mais qui est aussi façonnée suivant les actions de l’artiste, permet un retour au point de départ, où rien n’a de forme et où tout commence à se former. Des formes qui ne cessent de prendre forme, toujours inventées et réinventées.
The body is what imbues it with life. It’s how to activate, reveal and invent the three-dimensional forms proper to living sculptures. The body, its gestures and its poses shape the work, and this transforms it into a process in which time plays a role on the nature of the temporal object. It is not only our visual perception that has a value; the body, too, makes sense and has meaning. Using fabric, a malleable material that does indeed have a contour but that is also shaped by the impact of the artist, allows for a return to the point of origin, where nothing has form and everything is beginning to take shape. Forms that are constantly taking shape, forever being invented and reinvented.
